The players are fighting back! With the WNBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement set to expire on Friday October 31st, the WNBA is offering the players a 30 day extension. However, the players are NOT feeling it unless it's under the right circumstances. A deal by Friday is highly unlikely and can result in work stoppage.

The players in the league are getting 9% of revenue compared to 50% the NBA players are getting. This is a powerful statement the league is sending because as the league grows their paychecks stay the same. Attendance is up 34%, viewership 5%, and they recorded the most watched postseason ever! With Unrivaled taking off the way it did in just year one, the WNBA could be in some serious hot water. The players are getting paid more in two months than they are for their entire season. These women deserve an increase in revenue, a healthy work environment that protects them and better facilities. I believe if they don't get this right in this new CBA then we will see a hand full of players opting out the season and only focusing on Unrivaled.
